The free-to-play urban fantasy action role-playing game Zenless Zone Zero was created in mainland China by MihoYo and released worldwide by Cognosphere, d/b/a HoYoverse. On July 4, 2024, it will be available for PlayStation 5, iOS, Android, and Microsoft Windows.
Gameplay
Zenless Zone Zero is an urban fantasy action role-playing game. The player assumes the role of a Proxy, a character who assists others in exploring the hostile alternate dimensions known as Hollows. As they advance, the Proxy will add new members to their party as they fight the Ethereal and other enemies. By combining the abilities of different members, players can deal more damage and combos to enemies.
Development
HoYoverse announced the game in May 2022 and began closed beta testing, known as “Tuning Tests,” for PC and iOS in August of that year. In November 2023, a second closed beta test called an “Equalizing Test” was held for PC and iOS. In April 2024, a third beta test was held for Android, PC, and iOS, dubbed the “Amplifying Test”. During PlayStation’s State of Play presentation, the game’s PlayStation 5 port was announced. In April 2024, the PlayStation 5 underwent a technical test. The release date was announced for late May 2024.

Zenless Zone Zero is scheduled to be released on Thursday, July 4, 2024. This was confirmed by developer HoYoverse via the game’s official social media channels. ZZZ’s servers are scheduled to go live at 10 am UTC+8 / 7 pm PDT / 10 pm EDT / 3 am BST / 4 am CEST / 12 am AEST.
