The Friday, September 20, 2024, release date of Frostpunk 2. Originally scheduled for release this summer, 11-Bit Studios decided that additional time was needed to polish the final build in response to feedback from the open beta.
Frostpunk 2 Beta
From Monday, April 15, 2024, to Monday, April 22, 2024, there was a Frostpunk 2 beta. During this seven-day beta period, players who pre-ordered the deluxe edition were able to play and get access to the Utopia Builder Preview sandbox mode.
After the beta test ended, 11 Bit Studios revealed that Frostpunk 2 had an average rating of 8/10 in the official survey given to beta testers. Additionally, they verified that 24% of players did not finish a quest by the deadline, and 42% of players completed the 300-week limit.
This is encouraging for the overall difficulty of Frostpunk 2. 11 Bit Studios also states that all other languages listed on the official store page will be available upon full release, even though the beta language options were limited to English and Simplified Chinese.
