About Call of Duty: World at War

The fourth game in the Call of Duty series to be released on the PC is Call of Duty World at War. Additionally, it signifies the return of the World War II theme, which was crucial in making the Call of Duty series become the success that it is today.

There are single-player and multiplayer game modes in the game. Two distinct stories are told in the single-player campaign. One follows a U.S. Marine unit as they battle the Imperial Japanese army while island-hopping throughout the Pacific Theater. The second single-player campaign centers on Soviet Army soldiers fighting in the Battle of Berlin during the last few weeks of the conflict. Between the two single-player campaigns, there are a total of fifteen missions.

In Call of Duty World at War’s multiplayer mode, two teams compete against each other on a variety of maps that are modified from the single-player campaign. Four factions can be played: Japan, the USSR, Germany, and the Soviet Union.

Players can choose from five different soldier classes, each with its loadout and weaponry. These classes include the versatile infantry soldier known as the Rifleman, the mobile soldier with a light machine gun known as the Light Gunner, the powerful heavy machine gun known as the Heavy Gunner, the close-quarters combatant known as the Close Assault, and the long-range scoped rifle known as the Sniper. Every class has special benefits that provide extra tools or weapons to improve player capabilities.
